You risk your life, and the lives of others, every time you get into a car. Sadly, people die in automobile crashes everyday, and yet more people are afraid of flying than driving. Instead of joining the masses of careless and carefree drivers, be one of the safe, alert and aware drivers on the road!

First of all, you should never drive under the influence. Sure, it’s easy to get DUI help these days, and those beers may seem harmless, but don’t do it. Don’t overestimate your limit, and, if you exceed it, call a cab or a friend.

It’s obvious that you shouldn’t drink alcohol while driving, but what about soda? In most countries, people don’t eat and drink in the car. Americans seem to think it’s normal. Unfortunately, it’s dangerous. If you absolutely need to eat or take a sip of water while driving, do so with extreme caution.

The same goes for music. Be careful when you’re adjusting the stereo, radio, or your iPod; a lot of accidents happen that way.

Avoid the king of all accident causes: the cell phone. Texting while driving may be worse than drinking! If you must talk on the phone, use an ear piece so your hands are free. Even then, though, be very, very careful.

Don’t get angry in the car. Angry drivers are dangerous. Why are you in such a hurry? If you have a tendency to get angry when you’re in a rush, try leaving sooner than you think is necessary.

Relax. Relaxed drivers are safer on the road. That doesn’t mean you can fall asleep at the wheel, though! Be calm and alert at the same time.

Seeing a relationship dissolve and fall apart is tough, and the heartache is excruciating on those involved. Breaking up is something that everyone on earth goes through at some point, and adjusting to life after the relationship is an important step to take.

It is a popular idea that in the wake of a breakup, you have to act strong and hold your emotions in, and pull through. There’s nothing wrong with feeling sorrow. Cry; eat ice cream; write poetry; do whatever helps. Don’t become a homebody or stumble down to the corner store in a mu-mu for nourishment with a glazed look in your eyes. You do need to continue with life, but hiding away the hurt is unhealthy.

A divorce attorney Connecticut has to offer can help when a divorce is needed. Some breakups end friendly, others end badly. Either way, put it behind you. Be sad, but do not dwell on it. Life can still be fulfilling and happy.

Eventually, you will want to begin dating again. Do it when you feel ready for it, and not before. Be careful; you are still in a tumultuous emotional stage. Again, don’t be afraid of that. If you need a few weeks or months before pursuing someone who has appeared in your life, take that time.

Your former love and your experiences with them are part of you. That is alright. Remember what you learned about yourself from them, and what you learned that you like in others. Take that with you to the next big, happy stage of life.

No matter what you’re looking for in a potential partner, finding it all in one person can feel impossible at times. Whether you’re straight, gay, or just plain picky, dating can prove difficult.

Dating for gay men or women carries with it all the challenges that dating for straight men or women have (and a few extra challenges, thanks to society).

Luckily, a person is not confined to just their local bar to find options. Online dating has sprung up as quickly as the Internet did and offers another option for those seeking a relationship. Here are a couple of quick tips to help you navigate the online dating waters and what comes later.

Create an interesting, true profile – Most online dating sites require a profile. This requires some time and thought on your part, as this profile is your “first impression” on potential new partners. Be sure it’s interesting and unique, but make sure everything is true. It’s never a good idea to set up traps for yourself before you even have your first date.

Don’t be discouraged – Online dating offers you another option, but remember dating, even online dating, is still hard. If you succeed, though, all your hard work will be worth it.

Use the websites’ other resources – In addition to profiles, some dating sites have other resources available to their users. Brush up on your first date tips, or on low-cost, fun ideas for dates.

Once you have a date scheduled with your new online prospect, don’t panic. While the dating waters may seem treacherous, you’re not without a life-preserver. Try online dating, and hopefully you will sail into the smooth waters of a happy relationship.

It is very important to have good health, without which you cannot take care of your family. The best way to spend your time during a recession is preparing for the worst and staying as healthy as possible through vigorous aerobic exercise every day and plenty of yoga and meditation.

If you are running short on cash, you should get emergency cash if you have immediate medical needs. Instant payday loans can be very useful in such circumstances.

Emergency cash can be stored in a number-coded safe box. Care should also be taken to make sure your medical insurance and life insurance policies for your family are current and that payments are on schedule.

Those who have lost jobs or have been unemployed all their life should get Medicaid so they don’t use all their emergency cash on chronic disease management or paying the doctor’s fee upfront.

As far as possible, emergency cash for medical needs should be used for emergencies or deductibles only. If you have a spouse and children, priority should be given to preserving emergency cash for their medical needs. Your own needs should be prioritized after theirs, unless it is something absolutely life threatening.

The amount of emergency cash can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. Research in advance to ensure you are paying the lowest lending rate.

Your credit history should be as clean as possible, and other sources of guaranteed income, such as a paycheck from a second job, should be on your credit line so you can immediately qualify for and obtain emergency cash.

As technology has continued to reduce in size and become more sophisticated, people’s lifestyles are increasingly be impacted by it. One of the latest trends is the greater availability of certain types of technology to the general public. For example, 3D movies became very popular when they were released in theaters and fans flocked to see them. Now the same people can go to a retail store and easily find films, televisions and movie players that can create near the same experience right in their own homes. As the technology becomes more popular and commonplace, it also drops in price. This brings it into greater availability to those with limited budgets.

The internet has now taken a greater role in the business work week and will continue to increase its influence in the next few years. From interactive websites like http://www.direct.tv to social media networks, everything has become easily accessible. More and more individuals are opening online stores to sell goods that were only once found in traditional storefronts. This has allowed many who are unable to work in a normal job to be productive and very successful and others to avoid the rat race associated with a normal outside the home work week. The current generations are comfortable with this change, while some who are older have had to adapt to the shift in business from storefront to online. Society has also sped up in some circumstances as people race to keep up with the current technology as it changes at a breathtaking pace.

Fractional jet ownership has brought private jet travel to within the reach of more than just the upper classes. Buying a new jet and maintaining the equipment and crew can take tens of millions of dollars of investment up front in addition to ongoing expenses like maintenance and crew salaries. The fractional ownership of jets through various businesses has brought the investment down from millions to thousands in many cases.

For a few thousand dollars of investment, an individual or business can purchase the right to reserve flight time on a specific type of jet with their provider. The cost per hour of operation in this situation for the frational owner can be one-half of the cost of maintaining a single jet that is available twenty four hours a day. Companies leverage their assets and sell time to people all over the world and let their investments (aircraft) earn their keep. They can also trade commodities online for faster transactions.

The upper class may still be able to justify their own personal aircraft. They have the income to handle costs like maintenance, hangars, and crew. For others, the world of fractional jet ownership can offer availability of private air travel anywhere in the world at almost any tme. This can have a significant impact on business from making deals that others, without transport

There have been memoirs published by those that reflect back on the family members that have passed. For many, there is a positive or humorous light flashed on all those that are mentioned. The point is not to have a fluffy outlook on everyone in your life, but rather to have a positive outlook, knowing that all members of a family present a unique perspective.

Grumpy Grandma

Image via Wikipedia

There are countless families that have that one sour or grumpy member. If that member of the family is older, take into consideration the life that they have led, and the experiences they have had. This could be instrumental in finding out why they are the way they are, and for you to develop a relationship with that person through common interests.

For these members of the family, find out if they have ever had anything really exciting happen, or if they have secret wishes that have never been fulfilled. These can be great talking points when trying to break the ice.

Show Off Yourself

For those in your family that do not know you well, take the time to show off. If you have a skill or had something exciting happen, like winning an online casino bonus, landing that dream job, or skydiving, let your family see the real you. This will help the older generations to connect with you, and allow the younger generations to understand who you are. Many times, bonding occurs through simple conversation and a realization that there are common interests.

People come and go from our lives for a reason. Nonetheless, the people who do stay around, you can say are there for a special reason. What is this special reason? Well, this answer can mean different things to different people, this is why it is important to define the important relationships in your life. However, before you can begin to define what important relationships are important, you must first separate one relationship from the other. No two relationships are the same and neither are the emotions tied to them. .

It is especially important to define the important relationships in your life. When some of these promising relationships develop into something permanent One of the first steps to defining the important relationships is by stepping back on the road and observing where the journey is taking you. Ask yourself is this where you want to be and do you want to continue with the trip? If the answer comes back as yes. You should go ahead down that road to learn more from the relationship and enjoy every minute of it.

We help to improve our relationships overall in the end by defining what they mean to us from the beginning. Good relationships are those that not only make us feel good about ourselves but also good about the others in our lives. The important people in our world are important for a reason and they each add meaning like no one else can do.

There is nothing as permanent enmity. Permanence is not the domain of the universe. Nothing is permanent. Everything is ephemeral. So why keep permanent statuses for relationships? Would it not be nice to make your foes to your friends?

It may sound very impossible. Forgiveness is such a hard word to accept and enact. But the very concept of creation is based on forgiveness. If you look at the universe, we are all just a concept. We are not destined to anything. There is no such thing as destiny. These are all concepts. So is enmity and friendship. These are concepts.

When you can make a weed into grass, you have the power to change things. This power can make you go to greater heights. If you can turn your sworn foes into your sworn friends, you have the divine power of persuasion. Almost bordering greatness.

Relationships of enmity do little for the receiver and do a lot for the holder. It is like poison that you expect the other to drink, but end up drinking it yourself. When you are liberated from feelings of enmity, you are liberated from the control of your emotions. And yes, you will begin a spiritual journey into self realization.

Now is the time when you can make the change in your life. Turning a foe into a friend takes greater courage and magnanimity than keeping a foe as a foe. It is for the large hearted and brave people who can grow up and grow out of insane emotions.
Riding on emotions is riding on a frivolous horse that will bump the rider off anytime.

Considering auto refinance? Not sure if it’s for you? Here are three reasons why you should look into this option.

Advantage #1:

Get a lower interest rate. If you’re through at least one year of your teen’s high interest loan, or you are just finding that the rates currently being offered for car refinance loans are just too good to pass up, now’s the time to take advantage of that lower interest rate. Pay less interest over the life of your loan without necessarily extending the term of the loan.

Advantage #2:

Want a lower payment? Even if you don’t like the possible option of extending your loan to get that lower payment, you might find that extending the loan helps you keep your debt in check. You can also add double or triple payments to your loan whenever you want. And remember, a lower monthly payment doesn’t always necessitate extending the loan.

Advantage #3:

Want to pay off your loan sooner? By setting up a bi-weekly pay plan, or paying off some of the loan by using your savings, you can get that much needed head start in getting your car refinance loans paid off sooner. Consider refinancing early in the term and (as Debt Relief Counseling U.S. puts it) “you will save even more, because interest on any money borrowed is paid mostly in the earlier months.”

Auto Refinance doesn’t have to be a tricky or even a technical issue if you know the advantages of refinancing success. Start today with these tips and find even more through your personalized Internet search.

Planning a wedding is a big task. Keeping it within a certain budget is an even bigger task. Here are some tips for managing all of those wedding expenses.

Stick to a Plan

Most people find that wedding expenses get out of hand when they lose track of the planning they have done. Planning can involve things such as outlining what you want for each part of your wedding, including what food you want, who you want to provide music at the reception, and how many guests there will be.

Stick to a Budget

After you have figured out exactly what you want and have planned out everything that you will need, do your research and figure out exactly how much everything will cost. Shop around and get the best prices. Things can easily get out of hand if you are using a credit card, so set yourself a limit on how much you can put on the card. If you are not comfortable doing that, something like a reach prepaid card will allow you the convenience of a credit card while using your own money instead of credit. This way, wedding expenses won’t get out of hand.

Keep Your Emotions in Check

This is easier said than done, especially when organizing a wedding! Many brides get swept up in all of the bells and whistles that a wedding can have and end up spending far more that they had originally intended. What may seem like a good idea at the time may end up being an expensive nightmare. So ask yourself before every purchase, “Do I really need this?”

Grandchildren are precious, bring so much joy, and put a smile on your face. Simply spending time with your grandchildren can enrich your life immensely. Without even trying, your grandchildren become one of the greatest blessings ever bestowed upon you. Because of how great they are, you may feel like doing something special for them. Here are a few ideas.

Image via Wikipedia

Invite them over often. Grandchildren enjoy spending time with their grandparents and will love the time they spend with you. While they are at your house, find activities that you can all do together. If your grandchildren don’t live near you, make sure you invite them over for holidays.

If you have young grandchildren, you may want to spend plenty of time playing games and reading stories to them. Perhaps they would enjoy going on walks or cooking treats together. Find several activities that you can do with each other while they are visiting.

If your grandchildren are adults already, you may want to find other ways to give back such as donating money to their college fund or helping them in any other way they need. You may even want to donate your engagement ring to your oldest grandson. If you cannot find a way to help out financially, spending time with them is still always an option.

There is so much you can do to give back and show your grandchildren you care. Whether you are playing games with each other, cooking dinner, exchanging presents, you can always find a way to give back to the most important people in your life.

Taking up a new hobby can be a fun, exciting, and interesting new endeavor. Many people begin new hobbies to spend time with their families. Hobbies build relationships and bring multiple generations together in a common activity.

Image via Wikipedi

Though gambling and sports betting are not often seen as family activities, they actually can be. Many people plan their lifestyles around their hobbies. Some travel based on food, golf, or other leisure activities. People who bet on sports like to travel and spend their expendable income betting, online or in person, in places like Las Vegas or Europe. Many find that betting becomes more than a hobby, so beware of your hobby taking over your life and ruining your relationships instead of building better bonds.

Traveling to Las Vegas to gamble and enjoy shows and the sites can combine the love of sports betting with the fun of a quality family vacation.

Other hobbies like hiking, camping, and cooking can all be done with other people. Those hobbies can help family members get to know each other, spend time together, and if it is a new hobby, learn something new together.

If you want to take up a new hobby with a spouse, child, or friend, decide together something that interests you both. For a new hobby to be a successful way to spend time and bond with another person, the hobby must be something that interests both people.

New hobbies can also be a way to meet new people. This can be especially nice and helpful if you are new to an area, retiring, or making any other major changes in your life.

You suspected medical malpractice and believe you have gathered sufficient information to contact an attorney. Be sure you know the ins and outs of malpractice claims and how to maximize your chances of winning your case.

While your legal counsel will go over everything in detail, you first need to prove the doctor-patient relationship. You can do this with medical records and even the help of hospital or office staff. You must also be able to show that the facility and the doctor in question were treating your case during the time in which the injury or harm occurred.

As is the case with Los Angeles malpractice attorneys and those elsewhere, it will be easy to find law firms that specialize in medical malpractice. Bring all of your documentation with you for the first meeting to help your lawyer better serve your case. In some situations, malpractice is seen when doctors fail to communicate with patients they consider lower class and unable to understand their course of treatment.

It must be shown that the doctor failed to provide the adequate standard of care, which will vary between patients. This must prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was the doctor’s negligence that resulted in the injury or death, not some other factor.

Request copies of your medical records by contacting the hospital. You may have to submit a formal request in writing and include patient information such as your social security number and date of birth. Gather this information in a timely manner as medical malpractice claims have a statute of limitations

When you think about it, no disease really does, but living conditions can often have a bearing on whether or not a disease will strike a particular class of people. For example, tuberculosis, which is airborne, is (unfortunately) often more prevalent in lower class societies where ventilation is inadequate, medical care may be lacking, and overcrowding is a problem.

This does not hold true for HIV/AIDS. This disease literally knows no boundaries of any type. It can affect young and old, rich and poor, each and every class boundary, and even generations. That’s why it’s so important that research continue to find a cure for HIV/AIDS as well as new ways to stop it from spreading. You can find more information on the current research on bering.org.

Technology has come a long way towards helping in the fight against HIV/AIDS. There have been new drugs developed that help keep the disease in the HIV phase longer. These drugs also have fewer side effects, which mean that more HIV sufferers may be willing to take them rather than not seek treatment because it can almost seem like a case of the cure being worse than the disease. You can read about the latest in technological advances on bering.org, and find out how they can help you or a loved one who has this disease.

The fact that HIV/AIDS doesn’t recognize class boundaries may actually have a positive benefit. The fact that it has touched everyone in all walks of life makes it hard to relegate it to a disease that only “certain people” get. Prejudice does exist, but bering.org can help you learn ways to fight this and educate others on this matter.

Many people really do enjoy going to work each day. What makes this so? Are there common characteristics that seem to appear in a great work environment regardless the occupation?

Benefit Options

One of the top things that make workplaces appealing is the benefit package they offer. Most places offer healthcare, retirement, and life insurance to full-time workers. What makes a difference, however, is when they offer benefits to part-time workers or go beyond in offering more than just the basics. Many places offer or at least help with gym memberships. Some offer to reimburse expenses for adoptions.

A few places even offer their employees cell phones like the Blackberry smartphone, so they can stay in touch with customers or co-workers. Open communication, honesty and a concern for balance between the employee’s work and personal life are a few of the other important factors that make great places to work.

How Do You Find a Great Place to Work?

It is one thing to know what makes a great environment, it is another thing to find and get hired to one. There are organizations that research and list the top companies. Two of these are Fortune and Forbes. Checking Google for these will get you started right.

Why Are Employers Concerned?

All the offerings employers give their employees cost money. Why would they be concerned with how their employees feel at work other than the simple comforts like heat and air conditioning? Studies show that when companies have large turn-over of employees they spend a lot of money on training. To keep an employee, even at some cost, is better than constantly retraining new people.

Getting married is one of those lifestyle changes that can bring a lot of stress to you and your family. There is so much planning that needs to be done, not only for your wedding, but your living circumstances after the event. This is why it is a good idea to hire a wedding coordinator. They can take much of the stress away.

Finding the perfect wedding coordinator or planner is difficult. There are only a few places you can look for reviews and suggestions. One great place to start, though, is Canada 411. They can help you find local wedding coordinators in your area so you will have more to choose from. It is important to use somebody local because they will have the best connections with facilities and resources.

It is also important to find a wedding coordinator that knows how to stick to a budget. You wouldn’t want to start your new life in more financial debt than is necessary. Sure, you want to have a nice wedding, but that doesn’t mean you have to compete with the celebs.

Once you have found a wedding coordinator that you like, you are going to need to sit down and discuss your needs and wants. Make sure you tell your coordinator your preference on colors and any traditions that you want included in the event, like a daddy/daughter dance, etc. You will also need to discuss finances with your coordinator and come up with a plan that is going to work for both of you. Planning a wedding is expensive, so be prepared.

In an urban lifestyle, art is an integral part of the community. Art galleries are often considered a part of the upper class paradigm. However, most cultures and classes focus on their art in order to strengthen their communities and celebrate their cultures. Art is about people, not class. If you are part of a lower class neighborhood that is working to create art and music for the people who live around you, there are ways to present that creative spirit without a big budget.

An art gallery can be set up in any unused space. In fact, a small room in the community center would do. Offer that space to local artists and then display their work for enjoyment and commerce. Make the gallery the heartbeat of your neighborhood. Encourage artists who create pieces that tell your community’s story to sell art in the gallery. When you’re ready to invite the public into your new space, advertise the opening of your art gallery with flyers, newspaper articles and Internet postings and emails. Since you want to pique people’s interest in the lifestyle of your community, as it’s presented through art, your flyers will be your most important calling card.

Flyers serve as inexpensive art posters. Not only do they give people the essential information about the opening, but they become an art piece, too. Pick a painting or photograph from a featured artist that best represents the lifestyle of your lower class neighborhood. Make that the meat of the poster. It will be eye catching. It will be the piece that makes people want to visit your gallery.

Life was once simple — choices were made without concern; adventures were pursued. It was an easy thing to enjoy the days. Such enjoyment is gone now, however.

The revelation of HIV has left you undone. Your control has been taken; your certainty has been shattered. There seems to be nothing left for you.

There is.

A disease may offer limitations but your life is still your own, with the aid of essential changes:

Dietary Evaluations

It was once a dependency on grease, the salt-soaked delicacies. Your meals were tributes to excess (with condiments forever smeared on your Coogi shirts). The discovery of HIV, however, demands a change. Infections are common with this disease. You must therefore choose a diet stuffed with nutrients: choose vitamin-heavy foods, whole grains and vegetables; ignore heavy doses of sugar or calories.

Exercise Increase

Movement too often seems impossible. HIV demands all of your energy, steals your desire to explore the world. That desire has to be found again, however — even if it’s forced. An increase in exercising (at least one hour a day) can strengthen your body and stall the crippling symptoms of joint and nerve pain.

Tobacco Denials

There’s comfort in nicotine: the curl of smoke within your lungs, the familiar flavor of carbon. Cigarettes are a relief, steadying your shaking hands and offering indulgence for a desperate time. They also strain your body, however. Those with HIV are three times more likely to develop cancers and other illnesses related to smoking. It’s essential that you abandon tobacco therefore — now.

Make these lifestyle changes to battle HIV and gain control once more.

What will your major be going into college? If you are like many people, finding the right major is a big decision and it’s important to choose the right one. However, it may be easier than you think to choose the major right for your life.

Tips for Choosing the Right Major

To select the right major, do take time to learn about all of your options. A good place to start is EarnMyDegree.com. As you look at all of your options online, consider the following tips to help you with the process.

Look at course curriculum before choosing a major. What types of courses are necessary? If the courses interest you, they are often a good option for you.

Consider taking a college major test. You can find these online. They help you to determine what types of degrees may fit your needs, based on how you answer a variety of questions.

Know the career you want to be in once you graduate. Be sure the courses you take and the degree you earn actually lead you to that position.

Take a look at the top growing careers in the country. Find out which careers that interest you are growing and will need experienced people in the future.

Take the time to shadow people in a variety of careers that interest you. Some businesses allow students to shadow like this. Talk to your school counselor to find out if it is an option.

Finding a major takes time and careful consideration. This process requires personal reflection on your goals, both short-term and long-term goals. Find the time to make a wise decision for you.

Animals have a special relationship with humans. This relationship has seen humans tame many animals and rename them as pets. These domesticated versions have become an integral part of many people’s day to day lives, with many thinking of their pet as another member of the family.

Pets provide unconditional love and it is because of this that pet therapy is an excellent way for a patients and a patient’s family to ease some of the emotional and physical pain associated with a serious illness. Pet therapy is also referred to as animal assisted therapy. It can involve any kind of animal; the most popular being cats, dogs and horses. Equine therapy has become a popular animal assisted therapy for children with disabilities.

The potential benefits of pet therapy are numerous. Not only are they comforting to be around for the unconditional love, but they are also comforting to hold, with their fur being nice and soft to touch. Pets can provoke different emotions in people. A relaxed pet will help a person to feel calm and at ease, whereas a playful pet will help bring a smile to a patients face.

Caring for a pet encourages a patient to maintain a daily routine and helps to keep his or her mind of issues relating to illness. Pets can keep people grounded in the present moments, alleviating fears for the future. Interacting with a pet in the present moment will give a patient suffering from an illness a sense of joy, both within themselves and of the beautiful world around them.

Whether you are just starting your family or have been raising one for a while now, it’s good to know if you are eligible for child care tax credits. Many people find basic form filling challenging enough and may not look into what type of credits they could qualify for. No matter what your lifestyle is, or what family traditions you come from, there are child care tax credit basics that may be available to you.

Life can fill our days with a busy schedule and hectic moments. There will be times when you might have to hire help with child care to get through your daily schedule and accomplish what needs to get done. In order to qualify for child care tax credits, children in question must be under the age of 13. Child-care costs can take up a large portion of the family budget. Some companies may offer financial support for child care. However, you still may quality for a credit whether or not your employer helps with the financial burden of providing proper supervision for your young children.

A single working parent who pays for child care can qualify for this credit on their free IRS efile. In order for a couple to qualify, both parents have to be employed or one spouse must be a full-time student. The credit can be applied to preschool, day care, after-school supervision, and babysitting. Employing a nanny also falls under the expenses that count toward child care credits. Keep in mind that kindergarten and higher grades do not qualify as child care expenses. However, after- and before-school care programs qualify.

Most parents miss the point where the child starts looking for relationships beyond the family. Nine out of ten parents end up feeling that the child is in a hurry to make friends with members of the opposite sex. Well, whether this is true or not is irrelevant. The point is that you should be prepared to help your child handle relationship issues as and when they arise.

Parents have the option of pretending that such issues do not exist. This will not make it go away but it certainly will make the lives of the parents a lot easier. The child will rely on various sources of information ranging from relatives to the internet to tackle difficulties in making new friends and contacts. Do not presume that your child will sit back and end up as a failure. That is certainly not going to take place.

However, refusing to be there for your child just because you feel it is too early is going to have a negative impact on his or her psych. Do not blame the child if he or she is more comfortable with the relative who has provided useful advice and tips on tackling relationships in the classroom.

As a parent, there are certain duties that you cannot devolve to others and maintaining discipline and focus in your child’s life is one of them. However, you don’t have to use the stick as the sole means of enforcing your discipline. In some cases, being open and helping the child talk about things at home can make a huge difference in helping the child learn a sense of responsibility.

You or your spouse may be camera shy, and normally try to duck out of photographs at parties and other social events. But your wedding day is different. It’s not only a once in a lifetime event; it’s a bright spot in life. It’s wonderful to be able to look back at a day that was all about just the two of you. That, and with the typical effort that goes into a wedding, you and your spouse probably look about as good as ever on your wedding day. There’s hardly a day you’ll experience that is better to have yourselves photographed by a professionally trained photographer.

Experienced camera professionals, such as those you’d find at various Austin weddings, know more than just routine photography tricks. Getting the lighting just right, the angle perfect, and the backdrop to be memorable are all important. There’s so much more to a good picture. How about the basics? Some less-qualified photographers forget the first steps, such as including everyone from the wedding party into the group shot. To avoid these sorts of amateur mistakes, you’ll have to research your wedding photographer.

Research doesn’t mean you’ve got to find out anything strange about your visual artist. It just means that you should see some examples of past work. You should also check out some wedding references; some previous wedding customers who can add candid comments on their satisfaction level. Because on your special day, you don’t want an inexperienced person handling the most memorable details!

Why is it important to have an account with popular social networking websites to bond better with your child? Many parents are keen on having a social networking account because they feel this will help them control the online interactions of their children. Well, having an account will certainly ensure that you know what your kids are up to.

However, your efforts should not stop at a policeman’s job. Rather, you should try to understand your child better so that it adds value to your relationship. You may not respect online friendship as a real friendship because you belong to a different school of thought. However, just because you don’t agree does not make it useless.

There are hundreds and thousands of individuals who are making use of social networking websites to stay in touch with their friends. They may not need them ever but still enjoy a good relationship.

If you want to help your child benefit from such online friendships, it is important to be one yourself. If you are uncomfortable being a friend to your rebellious teenaged son or daughter in real life, you can always make use of your online persona to come across as a chilled and relaxed person.

Another advantage of using online network is that it will help you know the friends of your children better. Gone were the days when children use to introduce their friends at home. When they do not feel the need to meet in person, where is the question of encouraging the parents to meet them? Online networks will help you take care of this aspect as well.

Our world is constantly evolving and today we have more options then ever when it comes to controlling our finances. Long gone are the days of hand-written checks and trips to the bank. They’ve been replaced with credit and debit cards. Unfortunately, in many cases credit cards and traditional credit cards have become problematic. Today’s savvy spenders are turning to the vision prepaid card. Not only is it easy to use in almost every situation, it can actually protect your identity.

Spends Just Like Cash

A prepaid card can be used just like a traditional debit or credit card. They are excellent budgeting tools which ensure the user only spends the money they have. Many are using them for ‘emergency’ funds and loading a set amount of money onto the card only to be used when needed. Foreign travelers find them easier and safer than traditional cards. The vision prepaid card gives you access to your money when you need it without a trip to the bank.

Safe Spending, Secure Spending

One of the primary benefits of a prepaid card is the protection it will offer the user. It is unnecessary to attach sensitive personal information such as your social security number or address to the card. This means if the number is ever stolen, the card cannot be used to open other credit accounts, run up debt and ruin your credit rating.

Let’s go out on a limb here: everyone’s an artist in life. There you go. Crazy assumption, huh? How can that be, though? You have your painters, philosophers, writers, dancers, musicians, sculptors and even architects out there. They’re pretty much artists. They create; they imagine. What they imagine becomes reality. But not everyone can be a painter, philosopher, writer, dancer, musician, sculptor, or architect in the world! So how can one be an artist?

It’s pretty easily, actually. Set aside profession for a moment, and know that when it comes to art at its very raw materials, you’re talking about ‘expression.’ You’re literally taking a piece of yourself and creating something new of it. That can be said about your relationships, your conversations, even your memories. As a parent, you’re essentially an artist; you’ve created a human being, you’re raising a human being, you’re teaching a human being. Moreover, when does one person ever not imagine things? When does one person ever not dream dreams?

This can be summed up as the “artistic lifestyle.” It’s a way of living that promotes idealism, a sense of drive and desire to excel in life past the normal expectations of society. Maybe you like certain hobbies. Trust that all hobbies are a form of expression; and almost always, forms of expression are even a form of self-therapy–such as working out, drawing, even playing games. You’re still an artist!

Amazing, isn’t it? So next time you happen to go see a painting exhibit in the museum, know this: that artist is just like you. Only he/she puts himself/herself on a canvas.

For almost every child, Halloween ranks as one of the best holidays of the year. Kids get permission to act like hooligans and to treat each other like animals, all for the result of hanging out with each other and scoring as much candy as they can carry.

Halloween is just as much fun for the parents. Buying kids costumes can be the most nostalgic part about Halloween. Whether your kids dress as bumblebees or Harry Potter, it can be fun to see them dressing up in costumes.

It’s easy to buy your child’s outfit online. Many stores offer their products on the web, and some are exclusive to the Internet. If you’re looking for an eco-friendly and potentially less expensive way to buy kids costumes, try a consignment shop or resale store — many have outfits that look brand new.

Regardless of where you purchase your costumes, be sure to give yourself plenty of time before the holiday. The popular outfits often become out of stock early. Remember that shipping may take longer than you expect. Still, be weary of shopping too early; your child may change his or her mind. Additionally, some of the most popular costumes don’t hit production until right before Halloween.

The candy may drive your children’s motivation, but remember to schedule in time for your social activities. Halloween is a great time for your community to come together for events, such as hay rides, neighborhood haunted houses and block parties.

With the proper planning, your Halloween will be a success. Your kids will have all the candy they can eat, and you will have a camera full of memories.

Listen to any liberal talking point in American politics and you’re likely to hear a common thread – the country is splitting into groups of have and have-nots and the middle class is slowly disappearing. That idea may seem somewhat drastic, especially when you look around your own home and feel like things have been going fairly well, but there are some surprisingly statistics that certainly point to a declining number of white collar, working class Americans.

Of course, the idea of an American middle class is pretty ambiguous. There is no official definition of the word and politicians frequently change how they use the word depending on who their audience is and what their message is.

The most common definition of the American middle class is white-collar workers who are typically skilled craftsmen and lower level management. These people usually make enough money to be comfortable but whose financial lives can be upset by a drastic change in economic behavior or by a personal disaster that can wipe out funds very quickly.

The gap between the lower and middle income levels and those at the highest income levels continues to widen quickly according to several recent research groups.

According to The Business Insider, the poor are getting poorer: 61 percent of Americans live from paycheck to paycheck and 36 percent don’t regularly contribute any money to their retirement. On the other hand, there are plenty of signs that the rich are getting richer: 66 percent of all income growth from 2001 to 2007 went directly to the richest 1 percent of Americans.

You have just met someone through online dating. Emails and phone calls have taken place—the next step is to meet for a first date. What are some ideas to ensure a great first date?

Ensuring safety: For your first date through an online dating site, you should make sure that you choose a spot where you both feel comfortable. You really don’t know each other yet, so select public, well-populated sites to meet; less discomfort may allow both of you to really connect.

Location is key: Since your goal is to learn more about the other person, you need to include an activity that will allow you to sit and talk. A nice dinner at a quiet restaurant or meeting for drinks at a local bar allows you to spend time chatting.

Encourage conversation: Now that you have picked a spot that allows for conversation, you need to make sure that you ask questions. Interests, hobbies, and travels tend to be safe topics. These areas also can lead to more organic conversation without making anyone uncomfortable.

Plan for an escape route: Every first date does not work out and you—or your date—may be looking for a way to escape. If you plan a low-key first portion, like meeting at a bar or for coffee, you can easily pull the plug or continue on with a movie, dinner, or a concert in the park.

You know that you have had a successful first date when you don’t realize that it’s time to go home—and when you can’t wait to see this person again. Online dating is a great way for people to get to know each other.

The Halloween is that time of the year for which everyone looks forward to. The Halloween party is the most awaited party of the year for the kids. This is time when the kids are allowed to be on their own and they get permission to whatever they want. This is one festival when the kids enjoy themselves the most and eagerly wait for it.

The Halloween is not only for the kids it is for the adults as well. Hosting a Halloween party is a little different from the other regular parties that people host. Since this party involves both children and the adults arrangements have to be made accordingly for both of them.

Halloween is a great time for the people to get together with their families and friends and hosting a Halloween party serves the perfect recipe for this. For hosting a Halloween party it is essential to get a fun costume for oneself and for the kids in the house, and then one has to make arrangements for food and the beverages for the guests. Keeping in mind that this party is also for the kids one has to make arrangements for them separately as their preferred pattern of food and beverages would be different from the arrangements made for the adults. One has to stock a lot of candies as it is the festival of candies and the kids would keep asking for the candies. Sometimes controlling kids becomes a big hassle so it is also important to keep a track on the kids before they get too wild in the party.

Life in a fast paced world can quickly overwhelm. And, if you’ve ever played the debt game to try and keep up, that overwhelming feeling can easily become a tremendous burden.

This is especially true in the drive for materialism among lower and middle income households. Mounting debt can create stress and ruin friendships.

In a global economy that is on the skids, you may be wondering what you can do to get out of the money doldrums.

Get a Better Job

So, this is probably the biggest no brainer suggestion out there, but that doesn’t change the reality that the easiest way to get out of financial hardships is by raising your income. Even in down economies, someone is still hiring.

Cut up the Credit Cards

Admittedly, this is a difficult one, especially if you are relying on them for emergencies. But, more times than not, the emergency things you use that card for could easily be handled by this next item.

Sell Stuff

Instead of going to the plastic first, place it last in your priority list. Start by selling some of your possessions that you no longer need, or that you could live without. Garage sales are a great source of quick income.

Build a Budget

The best way to know where your money goes is by creating a map for it. Budgets will help you pinpoint and manage stress points in your finances.

See a Counselor

Seriously, if you find that life has gotten you beat down, hire a friend and talk to them. Just be sure to pay in cash.

Even with the changes in technology, entertainment and the American way of life tradition still holds a key position in society. There are certain places where traditions are jealously guarded and loved by those who revere them. One interesting American set of traditions has been the fight to preserve older baseball stadiums that were constructed in the earlier part of the 20th century. After the tearing down of Ebbet’s Field when the Dodgers moved to Brooklyn, fans have jealously guarded these old stadiums. Examples such as Wrigley Stadium and Fenway, home of the Boston Red Sox, shows the determined spirit of the fans against the new monolithic stadiums being built.

Things that have a sentimental tie to past times help to keep traditions alive and well in society. Even with the availability of 3-D films, IMAX theaters and advanced sound systems there are still many drive-in theaters around the country that operate successfully. People still love to go and set on a Friday or Saturday night to watch a movie outdoors in their car for a low price with their families. The nostalgia tied to these theaters from the 50′s and 60′s still endures today as this tradition is passed to current generations. This helps to keep the rapid advance of the here and now at day and give consumers a breath of fresh air.

Since the World War II generation came home to a booming economy, there have been numerous changes in how each generation has chosen to live. During this period after the war, women were primarily shifted into a more traditional role after having worked in many jobs that they had not previously had access to. The family unit was very focused and people stayed predominantly at one job until retirement. As the economy and world scene has shifted with the times, current generations have had to adapt how they live.

Women have entered fields such as science, mathematics, law, government and religion in a leadership sense. Increasingly, more wealth and higher education were also available to more within society, allowing many to ascend the ladder of success. There is a greater focus on technology, innovation and having the latest thing. Where the previous generations stayed put, current generations are transient in where they live. Families are also more spread out, as many children shift between two homes as parents become divorced.

With the increasing numbers of divorced families, blended families have now become the norm. There have also been changes in how society view’s its problems as stories and news that was once hidden or not known are instantly available through the internet. The interesting interaction between these generations is that one has much that they can learn from the other. This scene will change as generations create their own version of the American lifestyle.

There’s a need for property managers in Mesa, Arizona. Business owners need someone to watch over their buildings, and many homeowners own more than one property, especially those who live in other parts of the country. There are many different aspects of Mesa property management. Begin your property management career by focusing on your personal strong points.

Finances

If you are good with money then you can use your skills as part of your property management career. An important part of property management is handling money. You are responsible for making sure rent is collected in timely manner, that it’s posted, and that it’s deposited on schedule. As a property manager, you’d be responsible for preparing the annual budget for review. Record keeping and invoicing for products and services rendered are also part of a property manager’s job. While you don’t need a degree for property management, you might benefit from some basic business courses offered online or through local organizations and colleges.

On-site Property Management

One of the greatest detriments of being an absentee landlord is the inability to check your properties on a regular basis. If you have a talent for organization, then you might want to look into on-site property management. With this job, you will inspect properties on a regular basis, looking for potential problems in structure as well as in management. When problems arise, it’s up to you to find solutions and implement them. An apprenticeship with an already-established property manager of repute is a great way to learn the ins-and-outs of management and solutions.

Real Estate Developers

A real estate developer works with properties by purchasing land and planning the construction of residential and commercial buildings. To get a career in this field, you might want to consider getting a post-secondary education from a technical school or college.

Put your talents to work in a career that helps others. Property managing in Mesa, Arizona is a smart career choice.

Materialism has become a part of the American tradition for many, especially as they have had ncreased access to low price consumer goods and credit cards. In the last few decades this has been seen in the need to have things that are bigger and fancier than one actually needs. A good example is the American obsession with larger cars and trucks that were designed for anything except gas savings and economy in size.

This radically changed when oil prices skyrocketed a few years ago and the trend shifted backward toward smaller and more fuel-efficient vehicles. As technology began to increase its capabilities and decrease in size, Americans flocked to buy high-definition televisions, 3-D movies and netbooks. The popularity of video game consoles became greater as companies such as Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo released more high tech systems and game consoles. People’s homes are now filled with one corner that overflows with wiring, high-tech sound systems and remote controls.

Homes have followed this trend as people have built larger and larger homes that only had two or three people living in them. All of this focus on things and credit has begun to shift with the struggling economy, causing people to scale down their incessant desire of the greatest and latest. They are now looking to saving money, buying only what is needed and stretching what they have to a greater degree. This has been especially important for those who have had problems with their mortgage, finances and getting work.

In the early twentieth century, there was a great divide between those who held the great majority of the wealth in the United States and those who did not. As immigrants streamed into the country and populate the western United States, a rising middle class emerged that now focused on building their own version of the American dream. They opened their own businesses, live better and to break into areas that had once been only for the higher class. Today, the middle class holds a powerful position in the United States in most fields and rules in the suburbs.

This has shifted to create a new divide between the upper and middle classes with those in the lower socio-economic level of income. More students in schools are becoming eligible for free and reduced lunches, government support and programs such as Head Start. The poverty has now become a cycle for some at this level as children end up in the same level of struggle as their parents due to poor nutrition, chaotic environment and indifference by many.

There is a greater part of society that has compassion and works to bring those who struggle into a more stable frame of living. This movement can be seen best in churches, non-profit organizations and government legislation to create new programs in the past. The question now remains as to how the middle class will look in the future and if a greater portion of the wealth will be available to all.

HIV and AIDS is no longer a death sentence. Healthy lifestyle changes are helping people livelonger with this disease. A simple matter of changing one’s eating habit can prove beneficial. People no longer have to depend solely on medications. Technology and education has brought us a long way.

We are fortunate to life in a country that cares about our future. People can have a happy and productive life. When this disease first surfaced in the 80’s little as known about HIV and AIDS. Those with this disease were expected to die, not to have full lives. This disease caught us by surprise and we were not prepared for the outcome.

We now have a more positive outlook, due to education and technology. Babies born with HIV and AIDS are now able to grow old. They are able to experience life just like those born without this disease. Instead of planning for funerals, they are planning college graduations and paying back student loans. Student loan takes forever paying off and helps all young adults to start their adulthood in debt.

Those living with this disease can have normal lives. This includes getting married, having children and living in debt just like everyone else. You can be anything you want to be in life. You can choose whether to be a blue collar or white-collar worker.

Most forget about their illness until they have to take their medications. The medications for HIV and AIDS are a lot. When this disease first hit people were taking a bunch of medications it live. Now thanks too technology the medications have become less and less. Of course, there will be side effects to these medicine’s, but that is true with any medications HIV related or not.

Doctors and those living with this disease have to be careful and receive constant white blood and red blood cell counts. Even those with this disease or without this have to keep up with their white blood cell count. Take your medication, stay on top of your white blood cell count and just live life.

You’re pregnant, and you probably have a lot of questions right now. Thankfully, there are books you can buy that will help you track your pregnancy week by week, as well as blogs and other online information.

You may be thinking, however, that you don’t want to wait to read a pregnancy book; you have some questions now that you want answers to. These can include, but are definitely not limited to, those listed below. For your convenience, the answers are given right under the questions.

When will the cravings start?

If they haven’t already, the cravings will likely start closer to the end of the first three months, especially if you’ve experienced some morning sickness.

I don’t have morning sickness. Is this normal?

Yes. Many women do not.

What changes will my body go through during the first three months?

Your breasts will become very tender, and you will most likely notice a darkening of the areola and nipple area. In addition, especially if you’re fair-skinned, you’ll probably notice that the veins in your breasts are more noticeable.

Am I supposed to be crying at sappy commercials, the sight of puppies or kittens, and other random happenings?

Yes, mood swings are very normal during this time.

How big is the baby right now?

If you’re at about 7 weeks, your baby is about one-fourth inch long.

A pregnancy week-by-week book can be a lot of fun as well as informative, especially if you find one that shows pictures of weekly fetal development. Even if it doesn’t show that, the book will still give written information about your baby’s weight and length, as well as the different organs, limbs, and other body parts that are developing. This will help you understand the amazing changes occurring within your body during this exciting time of your life.

Having bad credit isn’t the best position to be in, even if you are dedicated to getting your act together and paying off all your debts. Sometimes, your bad credit isn’t even your fault, but you’re stuck with the reputation as well as the debt. You feel stuck. After all, if you can’t get money to pay off your debts, how are you supposed to get back on track and recover your good reputation? Well, you could try getting a short term loan.

The short term loan is available to middle and lower class Americans. This is a type of loan that you pay back within a year. When you apply for a short term loan, companies such as GreatPlainsLending look more at your employment records than your credit history. Their main focus is on whether or not you bring in a steady income. There are different options for repayment of the loans. Some companies set you up with monthly payment plans. Others take some payment whenever you get a paycheck. This could be once a week, twice a month, once a month, or other agreed-upon schedules. Still, other companies might offer you a loan with collateral. This means that you agree that an object you own will belong to the lender if you don’t pay off your loan in a timely manner. If you are certain that you are good for your payments, this might be a good idea. Paid-off vehicles are commonly used as collateral.

Short term loans are very helpful if you can’t get a credit card. Remember, your goal is to pay back all your debt as quickly as possible, and you also want to get a good name for yourself. You can begin to prove yourself as trustworthy once again by paying your short term loan back on time. This also helps you avoid late charges.

People take their cars for granted anymore, but there was a time where that wasn’t the case. The automobile, when it first started being mass-produced, really helped the middle class grow stronger. It gave them mobility that they wouldn’t have had otherwise, and that allowed them to haul their crops. They could also move to new places and locate new opportunities, which allowed them to explore their options. That was something that they never had before, and the automobile made it possible. The entire country benefitted from that, because it made the economy stronger overall.

Then, the National Highway System was created, and people were able to move around more easily. It allowed them to travel back and forth to big cities and smaller towns, and that meant that there was more industry that sprang up along the way. That made the economy stronger still, and it just kept growing and developing far beyond what anyone would have anticipated before the automobile was created and widely used.

Henry Ford was a big player in the automobile industry, and he helped the economy with all of the factories that he built and all of the jobs he created. Car insurance eventually came about, too, and where a person lived affected the cost of it. For example, New York insurance quotes cost more than Florida insurance quotes, and that’s to be expected.

When automobiles were brand new there wasn’t a need for insurance so no company offered it. Before long, though, there were companies that saw an opportunity and took it. Eventually it became law, and states required it to license vehicles. All of that took some time, but it became the complex system of traffic laws, insurance regulations, and drivers licensing requirements that people have to deal with today. With that complexity, though, comes the convenience of interstate highways and the ability to travel farther, faster.

There can be great benefits to one’s lifestyle from having a virtual employment situation. Benefits range from lowered expenses to improve family relations. This type of work is not for everyone. It takes discipline to work from a home-office but research has shown that most people who work from home on a salary basis actually put in more hours than their counterparts in a conventional office setting. This adds benefits for the employer.

Expense can be altered significantly when one stops going to an office every day. Costs of transportation and wardrobe change. The luxury of not having to drive to and from work can offer substantial savings. Some employees could go so far as to sell their automobile if their situation warrants it. The expense of professional cleaning and wardrobe can go down in this situation. Many employees have separate wardrobes for the office and off-duty hours. This equation changes when the office is not part of the daily routine.

Working form home can have great benefits on family life. This pertains to caring for small children, parents or even pets. To be available for any of these parties when many conventional employees have to be present at their jobs can have significant value. Not every virtual job gives the opportunity for this kind of responsibility but some do.

It is hard to put a price on being able to have a lifestyle of working from home. Being available to interact with family and an employer at the same time can strengthen bonds like never before possible. The fact that many employers get more productivity from home-based employees only strengthens this model as businesses progress.

If you want to propose to your girlfriend, there are a lot of things to think about. How you’ll be able to afford that engagement ring is one thing, and whether there’s enough dough in your bank account for it, even if you find a good deal at engagement.jrdunn.com, for example. Even before that, it is wise to make sure this girl would ever consider marrying you, so try bringing up the possibility of it happening in the future. The surprise factor is important, in that she won’t suspect the marriage proposal at any given moment. However, if you two have never talked about marriage before, she may not even know how to react.

Finding that special ring can be a collaborative decision. It can be tough to bring up engagement rings in a conversation and not give away the secret, but some girls do like to have the chance to pick out a ring. When you finally do pop the question, there aren’t many rules for how to give her the ring, but one thing you don’t want to do is hide it in some type of food. Even if by some chance your leading lady swallows it by mistake, she might be turned off by this unoriginal, uncreative idea.

The perfect set up can make the proposal experience something neither of you will ever forget. Make it personal and be creative, while expressing what she means to you, but don’t make it too complicated. Complicated plans just make it more likely things won’t go right, but most of all, it should be personal. The proposal can and should include favorite things you both enjoy, including foods (without the engagement.jrdunn.com ring in them, of course), and most of all your individual personality, as this is likely why she fell in love with you in the first place.

The technology that drives many cell phones today can make one’s life run smoother at work and home. The average phone has moved way beyond a device to just make phone calls. Today’s phones can run powerful scheduling programs, catalog thousands of contact’s information and allow work on business documents. These devices allow people to take their business anywhere.

Many phones allow the synchronization of an electronic calendar between a computer and the hone or mobile device. This not only allows one to keep their schedule with them at all times but new appointments can be set and broadcast to the phone by an assistant. Shared calendars allow others to see appointments on one person’s schedule. An assistant in an office can make new appointments for an executive in the field very easily. The assistant can tell from the calendar what availibility and geographic constraints the person has. This allows the person in the field to make efficient use of their time with appointments set that are close together in location and time.

The ability to have thousands of names and contacts on one mobile device is extremely valuable for anyone on the go. Tremendous amounts of time can be saved because contacts can be located by many criteria including name, company, industry or location. A person that is traveling does not have to open a phone book or take time with directory assistance when they need to contact a person on their list. Another advantage to using a system like this involves being able to share someone elses contact information w

A person’s social class may affect how he views the world. An upper class person often sees the world as a place of limitless possibility. Generations of increasing family wealth teach the individual that money, like his blue eyes, is a fact of his life.

The son or daughter of an upper class family understands the relationships of economics to materialistic acquisitions. For example, the upper class family teaches the child about capital and investment from an early age. He understands technology used in monitoring the family’s assets from an early age.

The child may associate happiness and materialism, or forms an opposite opinion early in life according to author David Brooks in “Bobos in Paradise: The New Upper Class and How They Got There.”

A lower class or middle class person may aspire to greater materialistic success. Positive mental attitude and a belief in positive results may help the individual to succeed, according to “International Perspectives on Household Wealth” by Edward N. Wolff. An upwardly mobile individual or family may lack an understanding of what more money can—and cannot—accomplish. A quest to purchase more material goods without investing capital for future returns may result in dissatisfaction for the newly wealthy.

New wealth may require the establishment of new traditions. For example, the self-made millionaire determines the importance of financial and tax planning. He may not like focusing attention on these matters.

The newly wealthy are sometimes referred to as “new money” by the established upper class. The “social register” implies a desire of the upper class to know others of the upper class. Self-made persons who desire acceptance by upper class society focus attention on the performance of good works, fundraisers and sound financial management, according to authors of “The New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy.”

A comparison of social standards hasn’t changed much since Jules Sandeau and Leonard Meyers wrote “Money-Bags and Titles: A Hit at the Follies of the Age” in 1850!

Generations of people hear song lyrics that declare money can’t buy love. In a seemingly materialistic society, money contributes to a variety of relationship issues. According to author David Niven in “100 Simple Secrets of Great Relationships,” concerns and arguments about money contributes to stress in daily life.

Lack of money is naturally a concern for a lower class person or family in need of shelter, food and the necessities of life. Having money and managing money concerns the upper class. Middle class families want more money to fund retirement or buy a better home.

Teaching children about money helps to prepare them for the future. Authors Jamie Kyle McGillian and Ian Phillips offer a great list of ways money is cool, and ways it’s not. Having money is naturally preferred to not having it. Earning money yourself and spending money on someone other than yourself is cool! Spending all your money—even your bus fare—definitely isn’t.

How much money is enough? That’s different for everyone. John D. Rockefeller’s answer—“Just a little bit more” may differ from your answer. Your perception of how much money is enough may depend upon your social class perspectives, according to “How Much Is Enough?” Teaching children about the meaning of “enough” is an apparent problem for some upper class families, according to the authors. Lifelong traditions of excessive spending and lifestyles that boast excess may create personal problems for children of the upper class. Fortunes are made and lost faster than ever in today’s technology-reliant world.

Author Tim Kasser reflects on “The High Price of Materialism.” Pursuing wealth for its own sake doesn’t seem to make people happier in the long run.

Lifestyle and social class directly impact how long people live, according to The New York Times. A person’s social status—loosely defined as upper class, middle class or lower class—can affect the quality of health care and the likelihood of recovery. Relationships of financially secure people to doctors and health care providers create better health outcomes. The ability to pay for health care, and to seek out technology necessary to diagnose and treat illness, is the privilege of the upper class.

Health benefits. A middle class person may lose health insurance when she loses a job. COBRA coverage, offered by most employers, enables the displaced worker to shoulder the employer’s cost of health benefits for up to 18 months or more. However, loss of insurance occurs when the former worker doesn’t pay for continued health benefits.

Lower class workers may not have health insurance with a job. Employers offering low-paid jobs sometimes advertise “no benefits.” A worker without benefits may also forfeit the hourly wage paid for his services.

Employer perspective. Offering workers less benefits saves money for the employer. The average employee holds a job for about four years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Pensions and long-term employer relationships disappeared along with lower employee tenure. Traditions of working for one or two employers during a middle class career have been replaced by a “seize the day” mindset.

Outsourcing jobs to less expensive job markets gives employers more compensation flexibility. Workers in other countries have less materialistic concerns, according to employers’ perceptions. Technology helps employers perform tasks without as many human hours.

Discrimination. Lifestyle choices of employees continue to concern employers in 2011. Serious illnesses, such as AIDS, destroy financial and physical health. The downward economic spiral from middle class to lower class occurs rapidly when medical costs outstrip the ability to pay for health care.

Social class comparisons make most people think about economic relationships, lifestyle and differences between people. Upward mobility often requires education and unified family support, according to authors Annette Lareau and Dalton Conley of “Social Class: How Does It Work?”

Employment and cultural traditions tend to reflect a person’s social class identity. Upper class people and families tend to have more money than middle class or lower class persons. Upper class families have accumulated wealth, sometimes over many generations, while middle class people sometimes struggle to make ends meet. Individuals or families of the lower class may rely on government programs and subsidies to maintain life’s basic needs. Poverty may plague the lower class family for generations.

Upper class individuals and families use less of financial resources to purchase the necessities of life. They possess the ability to buy a preferred home, or homes. Obtaining a mortgage isn’t a factor for the upper class person.

The upper class person or family may appear materialistic to middle class or lower class persons. Wealthy people spend more money and focus more attention on managing their assets. Technology helps the upper class family to manage their money.

Middle class people take advantage of employer-offered programs to save money, while lower class people have little money to save. Lower class people save the least amount for retirement. A focus on the necessities of the present keeps lower class families from investing in the future.

According to the Reverend Dr. Bob Edgar of the National Council of Churches in December 2005, “A job should keep you out of poverty, not keep you in it. Full-time minimum wage workers earn $10,700 a year, which is about $5,000 below the poverty line for a family of three. This is a moral outrage.”

Access to technology in daily life affects personal productivity, according to “Digital Age Literacy for Teachers” by Susan Brooks-Young. Lower class job seekers may have less interaction with technology. An individual without a home computer or internet access has fewer opportunities to search for work. The ability to use email or a simple webinar program may limit his development of current skills.

Students now learn to use technology as an essential skill in school. Children begin using simple technology in elementary school. Access to technology at home may stymie the student’s ability to compete with other students. For example, a teacher gives her sixth grade class an assignment. The assignment must be formatted as a Microsoft Word document and submitted by computer. If his family doesn’t have a home computer, he must stay after school to complete the assignment.

Lower class parents may not know of their student’s struggle to compete in a level playing field in school. The lifestyle associated with upper and middle class technology use may seem nice-to-have rather than essential to these parents. Generations of working poor families rely on libraries or friends for occasional access to technology. Students of lower class families must sometimes ask for extensions on their assignments because they don’t have home computer access.

Middle class families understand the need to introduce technology to children at an early age. Middle class parents use technology in the work place and throughout daily life. Costs of Internet access, computers, software, mobile phones and devices factor into the middle class lifestyle, according to “Sociology: Understanding a Diverse Society” by Margaret L. Anderson and Howard Francis Taylor.

Upper class parents assume the use of technology in daily life. Acquiring better technology for the upper class family’s home isn’t materialistic. Communicating with family relationships, business associates and contacts requires the use of technology.

What you happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. You remember that tagline, don’t you? Well, for sure if you ‘happen’ to be in Vegas, the question then remains: will you ‘stay’ in Vegas? Here’s the gamble on that, and then know that thankfully and fortunately, staying in Vegas is not simply a gamble, it’s a wonderful journey of discovery. Keep this in mind: there’s more to Vegas than just casinos and cards.

If you’re looking for Las Vegas apartments, rest assured that there’s a plethora of them in the city. Don’t limit yourself to a high-priced house for sure. While Las Vegas is the pinnacle of luxury, obviously, living can benefit your wallet, especially a lot better than a casino can if you’re not terribly good with the gambling. Moreover, jobs are pretty plentiful: Timet hires here and there, such as for “industrial mechanic,” or you can be a restaurant manager at Shanghai Lilly a the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. If you’re more into the bar/nightclub scene, bartenders are pretty big there–such as openings in New York New York Hotel Casino and the MGM Grand’s “The Signature” bar.

As said before: casinos and cards?–they’re not the be-all and end-all of Las Vegas. So if you’re interesting in something more than slots and poker, try the Valley of Fire, Death Valley, or Boulder City for a taste of the tourist life. Museums are of a unique quality, too, with the Pinball Museum and Liberace Museum. Hiking is a big attraction in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the Bonnie Springs Ranch and Mt. Charleston. If you like animals, especially when feeding them, take your enjoyment to the Lamb Park and breeze through nature as if you’re the last person on Earth.

You see? There’s more to Las Vegas than you think. It is truly a great place to live. Come and see how it ‘happens’; hopefully you’ll ‘stay’!

Just because you’re an adult doesn’t mean that your parties have to be boring — reduced to dinner and drinks, or maybe an outdoor grilling party. You can liven up the party and have some fun by throwing a theme party. Many of us equate theme parties with costume parties where we all find our old Halloween costumes and wear them in all their dusty glory. However, there are many other fun theme parties. How about a cowboy and Indian-themed party?

We all imagine being transported back to the Wild West and all the action and romance of that era. Your party can embrace all this excitement and your guests will be sure to remember this party for many years to come. Here are some tips to help make your party a Wild West success.

Use bandanas as invitations. Write the party information using a fabric pen. Add some western stickers and, of course, instructions that attendees should come dressed in appropriate cowboy or Indian costumes. Suggest that they can get costumes at online sites such as costumeexpress.com.

Set up a teepee in the party room or outdoors. Decorate the tent with Indian art including animals and other wildlife. You can also place an artificial fire either in the teepee or just outside for added ambiance. Place artificial cactus around your party space to give it that western feel.

Games with that cowboy and Indian theme will be a sure win. Even when adults say they don’t want to play games, give them a stick horse and set them on a race track and they’ll soon be whooping it up.

Serve your food in camp plates for an authentic feel. Put beverages and ice in galvanized buckets. These buckets will work well for chips, pretzels, utensils, napkins and more.

With a just a bit of planning, your cowboy and Indians-themed party will be a big success in the Wild, Wild West.

According to a recent post in Science Daily, upper class people don’t read the emotions of others as well as members of the lower class. Because lower class individuals must rely upon their abilities to understand the content and intentions of others to sustain basics, like housing or childcare, they work harder to communicate.

Conversely, members of the upper class don’t need to rely as much on what another person really means when they communicate.

Communicating well—and using available technology to communicate with a broad audience—can make you rich. AOL, Inc.’s purchase of the Huffington Post for more than $300 million demonstrates the value of communication in today’s world.

Author James William Neuliep expands the concept of upper class communications in “Intercultural Communication: A Contextual Approach.” Depending upon the level of stratification in the society in which a person operates, identifiers—such as a person’s occupational post or family status—communicate the person’s relative societal distinction outside their own country. In the financial industry, for example, a variety of hierarchical details about the individual establish prospective employment suitability.

Generations of Americans have been raised to believe in equal opportunity. That’s the benefit of growing up in the newer, Western world. Any child of any family, rich or poor—lower class, middle class or upper class—may aspire to and achieve vast materialistic success.

Rodney Dangerfield made a signature of his statement “I got no class.” Mr. Dangerfield made a fortune by making fun of his humble beginnings.

“Equal opportunity” doesn’t assume that all individuals have equal gifts, talents or assets. Regardless of a person’s lifestyle, his family relationships or the perspective of generations impressed upon him by that family, he has the right to a compete for greater opportunities.

One of the most significant indicators of success or failure in the modern American economy is level of education. Uneducated people do not have the same amount of opportunities that once existed. The nation’s manufacturing base has eroded, and jobs that once required man power have often become automated. Grocery stores offer self-checkout, and banks have ATMs. For workers to be relevant in the modern economy, it requires a level of knowledge that makes him or her stand out. Going to college provides people with the necessary skills to succeed in an evolving marketplace.

Even though going to college might be the most important decision prior to starting a career, students need to make frugal decisions prior to embarking upon a post-secondary education. The passion for learning is great, but it does not pay the bills. Going off to study English or poetry might be a passion, but the cost of attending school might not justify the financial rewards of the degree. Students need to be smart about their college options.

Most states have merit-based scholarships to reward students with high college entrance exam scores and high school grade point averages. Even for students who do not graduate at the top of their class, there are options to attend a preferred college. The federal government offers low-interest loans to let people pay for college. The Obama administration has raised the budget on the amount of Pell Grants available to students.

One other option for student is to go after an online degree. Online degrees provide students with flexibility and the ability to attend school from anywhere. Rather than worrying about relocating to another town, consider attending college from a remote location to save on the cost of attendance, while still acquiring the skills necessary for a successful and satisfying career.

Differences in social class can impact relationships between people. For example, a young man meetings a fellow student in college. They form a close friendship and begin dating. As the relationship grows, they discuss marriage. They talk about meeting each other’s family.

The young couple shares many of the same beliefs. They both attend services at the same house of worship. Their mutual hopes for the future include meaningful work, a family lifestyle and close lifelong relationships with mutual friends.

Differences exist between the two young people. The young man comes from an upper class background. His family’s wealth has been established for many generations. His father is the CEO of a large technology firm in California. The extended family attends social functions and appears in the national press.

The young woman’s family is lower class. Her parents emigrated from South America. Her family continues to aspire to a middle class lifestyle. The family started a cleaning business in their town. Though it was successful for a couple of years, her mother developed health problems.

The young woman attends college on a full scholarship. She’s considered one of the best and brightest students in her field of study throughout the Ivy League. Similarly, the young man is a thought leader in his department.

Can an upper class person marry a lower class person and find happiness? According to “Marriage in Motion: A Study On the Social Context and Process of Marital Satisfaction” by author Ann Van den Troost, a marriage of an upper class and a lower class person may result in dissatisfaction. How the marriage partners view money counts. For example, if both have strong materialistic associations, the marriage may result in unhappiness for both.

How the couple discusses a proposed future helps to create a path for marital satisfaction. Pre-marital counseling with a trusted advisor helps the couple plan a successful future.
